Hello, my name is Neil. I'm originally from Kent, but I currently live in Manchester because I'm studying software development. One recent innovation that caught my attention is the use of virtual reality (VR) for learning coding concepts. I recently participated in a research study that aims to improve the teaching and learning of computer programming using VR. This interests me because VR provides an immersive experience, making it easier for people with non-technical backgrounds to understand complex coding concepts. It offers an additional tool to learn these concepts, especially when they can be gamified in virtual reality.
I believe that people learn differently, and not everyone will grasp coding concepts by reading documentation, typing in a code editor, or watching videos. VR provides another avenue for learning. Currently, this research project is in the trial phase, but I hope it will eventually be implemented in educational settings. This is just one example of how VR can be used for coding, and I'm sure there are many other potential applications for virtual reality technology.
