My name is Jack, and I am the founder of Year Here. I am recording this from Bow in East London.
So the question was what is an Opiner, two-part question. First of all, how might we describe it to a friend? I would describe it as a video-based ideas generator. Opiner is not about validating solutions like traditional market research, but more about generating new insights and ideas that might lead to solutions.
In answer to the second part of the question, who might it be useful for? I think Opiner could be really useful in any sector, whether it's the public sector that needs to digitize an archaic service or a business that wants to launch a brand new product. It's probably more on the disruptive innovation side, creating something brand new rather than making small tweaks to an existing product or service.
In short, Opiner is about being generative and divergent, rather than just validating existing assumptions.
